Quite fantastic and a little unexpected...

Aas Gaard Golfpark and Hakadal Gk... My new home within the golf world, more literally than one would expect being that I'll be moving into one of the little apartments the owner has on the property and I have to admit that I'm looking forward to it in more than one way! A big thanks goes out to the Golfpark for that!

Quite fantastic and a little unexpected to be honest. I've been away from the golf environment here in Norway the past few years and when I came back to Norway in January I would have never have thought there would be a Head Pro job available in the area I live. Those kinds of jobs don't grow on trees here in Norway and the competition is hard to get them. I threw my hat in the ring as we say "over there" and fantastically I got the call. I know I have the experience and all the essentials and felt maybe I had a chance but to actually get the call was again totally fantastic to get!

The golf course isn't open as of yet, there is still a bit of snow that needs to go but in a few weeks the weather should change for good and spring should be arriving to stay. I have not had the pleasure of playing the golf course yet, but from what I've seen and heard it's a real fair challenge and a beautiful layout. Really looking forward to many rounds this summer!

It's going to be fun and interesting to meet all the clubs different personalities and hear what they mean about making the club even better than it already is, how we can help each other with the goals we have individually and as a club. Always interesting to be the one with "new eyes" at a new club, one can quite possibly see things that others who have been there awhile don't, that's just the way we humans work and I for one am glad for that.

Getting the job at Aas is in many ways very special for me, it kind of supplants past jobs and the work I have done within golf here in Norway and abroad, it gives me confidence that I have been working along good lines, that my goals and wishes for my students are positive and wholeheartedly important to me! Very very uplifting to say the least. Of course being hired on full time is totally super and something very smart for the club in my opinion. Lucky and I know it.

Being that I'll most likely use the clubs website, Facebook and the like to get the info out, this blog will be a place for me to write my personal experiences within this quite unique world of golf near the Arctic circle, well, we are a little ways from there but not really that far... Interesting, fun and an experience of a lifetime that's for sure.

Gonna try and blog as much as possible in the future-thanks for following along 😀🏌👍
