I was watching the ncaa last night and I was so pleased to see the Kentucky team loose to West Virgina, it's not that I'm was rooting for any team in particular, well, that's not true, I have been hoping all season that KU would loose in the tournament. I have seen them play many times this year and the way they held themselves this season was, in my opinion, not the way champions do it. By held themselves I mean their attitude twords the teams they played, the refs, and the media. I can just observe what I see, and make my conclusions from that. The WV team just found a way to win, they hit so many three point shots that it was unreal, they did not make a two point goal until sometime in the second half. Was great to see. Anyway, in the other game, the Butler team was just a team, they worked together the whole game at both ends of the floor, together, and it was really fantastic to see them beat the Kansas State squad. I am looking forward to tonights games and see who the last two teams will be to make the final 4.
Easter is a funny one, just like all the other big business holidays and I don't buy into it one bit. Just like Halloween, Valentines, 4th of July, xmas, all of them, they have been taken over by big business and it seems like the whole point is for 'us' the consumer to buy, buy, buy.... Uff da if you ask me. It's like the people think that they have to have the right decorations, the right colors, the right food, the right gifts, the correct gift card.. for which-ever holiday just happens to be around the corner. I am lucky I guess that my wife dosn't buy into all this, so that makes it much easier and we can hold us to the things we think are important. I have been together with my wife now for over 15 years and have NEVER bought a Valentines gift for her, never have, never will, if she needs a Valentines gift from me to secure her feelings then there is most likely something else fundamentaly wrong in the relationship. Ya ya, here I go sharing my private life again... We of course buy some xmas and birthday gifts, but other than that we don't see the overall point in feeling that we have to buy something for 'all the other' holiday's. BUT of course it's a personal choice, and I respect others who choose to buy all the different stuff all through-out the year. It's all about making the choices that you feel are correct and 'right' for you... Gotta run and see what my boy is doing...
