When I first came to Norway there was no basketball on tv, I had to buy games that had been taped and sold on vhs... Think about that, that's only 15 years ago, and now there is espn with so many games that I have to use the digital box thingy to record them all. The only downside is that I'll never get caught up in seeing them, or will I? I will be doing my best anyway. I think there are at least 5 games that I have not had the chance to see, yet. Nothing really happening on the golf side of things, I tried to follow what Henrik Bjornstad did this last weekend at Pebble Beach, he missed the cut by two shots and if I remember correctly that's his first missed cut this year. Would be cool if he has a good season and keeps his card. Other than that it's just hoops, hoops and more hoops. I know i've stated it other posts, but I am so glad to have the opportunity to really coach and have some influance on the lives of the young men that play for Fredikstad Basketball Club. Even though I do miss the golf in some degree, I have to admit that it's not the coaching of the kids that I miss, of course there have been a few young golfers that I have really enjoyed coaching, but if I lump all the experiences of golf vs basketball in the degree of satisfaction for myself, then there is no doubt... Basketball wins hands down. I've often wondered about that, I guess it comes down to the facts of team vs individual sports and the respect the coaches get overall. I think there have been/and still are many golf pro's here in Norway that really do not have games best intrest in mind, there are to many wolves in sheeps clothing, people who are out after a buck and not really into it for the right reasons, which in my mind have always been the kids, young men and women who really want to achieve something using sports as the way forward. Yadagit... I'm rambling on here, once again sharing my personal views.. oh well, that's that way the cookie crumbles.. here's a picture of D. Dawkins or to those in the know 'Love Tron' .-)
