Maybe Baby...

Looks like the snow is melting away into a possible spring!! I hope the warm weather starts this next week so I get out to the golf course and do some practicing and teaching! As of now it's only 5,5 degrees C here in Saltnes. Come on you big sunshine!!!

I just had to..

Was feeling a bit better today and the sun was shining, so..... I just had to sneak up to the driving range at Onsøy and hit some of my own balls out in the snow. I had to scrap away a bit of snow to hit off the training mat but that was no biggie.. I was actually sweating when I was done practicing. Have to hold the swing going after practicing and playing so much in Cali you know... Don't want to get down to Denmark and have to "find" the good feelings again. Hit the ball solid today and just worked on keeping my swing on plane and hitting the ball with a little draw. Looks like the snow might be melting away in a week at the most!! Come on warm weather and sunshine!!!

UFF A MEG

Here is the backyard.. Spring is around the corner I just know it..... We are still fighting colds, Amanda and Tanja have it the worst so far, and Leon seems to be getting better. I am not sure if I am coming down with the same thing as Tanja and Amanda, hope not.. they are coughing alot and sleeping quite a bit.. Uff a meg... Come on warm weather and sunshine!!!!!!!!!

Back in Norway

Here we are all safe and sound back in the old country... Looking forward to a few days recovery from traveling and we all have a cold with runny noses. Hopefully in a few days we will be fit for fight...

I just want to thank all the guys and gals at AVCC, Steve, Mike and Big Larry to mention first, Fred, and all the other people who work in the shop! You all made our stay in Palmdale a very special one and we will never forget your gracious hospitality and attitude, I never paid for anything and I just want you all to know how much I and Amanda thank you all!!! I have played many courses in my life and I find it hard to think of another place that the people working there were so helpful and freindly, thanks again ya'll and I hope that all the practice and playing I got to do at AVCC will be the spring board for a great 08' season!! Hope to see you all again!!

Last round at Antelope Valley CC

Amanda took this picture on our last day at AVCC. We played 27 holes on thursday with a great lunch after the first nine holes. We had a great time and I actually played good golf this day, shot -4 for the 27 holes. I am feeling good about my game, hoping the weather back here in Norway will turn warmer real fast, now it's -10 here in Saltnes. Guess I'll have to hit some balls and try my best to use the indoor center in Sarp until I can get outside again at Onsøy. Really looking forward to this upcoming season!!

The Guy's

Here you have most of the guys I have been spending the past days with, we are in charge of the first hole at the AT & T Championship Tour here at Valencia Country Club. We have had a great time the last days and tomorrow is the final round. These guys have been doing this for years, and my Uncle Don( the gentleman right in front of me)  is one of the ring leaders. Thanks for the treat guys and I hope we see each other again.  Played nine holes with Pops after the round today, had a great time and we both hit the ball pretty good, played in 1 hour and 9 min.. with a cart of course..

Here we are hanging out by the backyard pool after a round of golf.  Have been back in Palmdale now for a about a week and have had time to practice more than play actually, played a great round the other day, -4!! Had 7 birds and three bogeys, played nine holes yesterday and played -1.  So I guess the time spent banging balls is paying off!  I have never really been one for hitting so many balls, but maybe sometimes it's real necessary. ( of course it is, ha ha ) Anyway, going to be spending some time down at the AT and T Classic on friday, sat and sun. The Championship Tour event is about an hour from my Pops house, and we will be part of the group volunteering for the first hole, will try and sneak in some pictures from that! Otherwise things are going good here in Cali, and we are looking forward to our last 10 days or so b4 we make our way back home to Norway.

At the Classic Club

Hitting into the 14th green. Played ok this day, was more sight seeing than playing golf, it is that nice here. Shot a 78 with one bird. Putted poor today, which is not usual for me. Like I said, the course was so nice to look at, you have to really concentrate and I feel like if I could have played here again I would have the opportunity to score better.  Had Amanda with me again today and we had a great day. My ball striking is getting a little better, so that's a plus. As of tomorrow we are back in Palmdale for the next two weeks b4 coming home to Norway. Looking forward to spending the last two weeks with Pops and Rosie and practicing and playing as much as possible at Antelope Valley CC!!

Classic Club

The course was fantastic. As the sign states it's the home of the Bob Hope and the guys in the shop said it is in better shape than it was for the tour event.. I have to say this was one of the top five courses I have played. Beautiful layout. 

Desert Dunes

Played at this Robert Trent Jones Jr course with Amanda on Tuesday morning, shot another 74. We had the course to ourselves being that we teed off at 0645. Played in just under three hours. Nice golf course, a typical RTJ Jr course. Had three birds today and putted good, my ball striking was not up to par and I missed to many greens, that's why I had 5 bogeys. All in all my game is coming along.

KP swinging it. Played ok today, 74 shots with 3 birds.. To many mistakes and my ball striking needs to get better to really go low.

PGA West

One of the practice areas at the 5 course facility at the 'western home of golf' as they call it at PGA West. Practiced here the last two days, will be playing the next three days!
